Brian Vogan is a songwriter, performer and early childhood music teacher in Seattle, Washington. He teaches music to infant to preschool age children and the songs he writes are directly inspired by the interests and ideas of the children he educates.
His debut release, Little Songs, was hailed by critics as one of the best children's CDs of 2008 and received a best of the decade nod by Wired Magazine's blog, GeekDad. With his sophomore release, Sing a Little Song, Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies return with twelve fun, engaging, and eclectic tunes that feature lyrical themes relevant to children and musicianship the whole family can enjoy. The result is a foot stomping great time for music lovers of any age!
Vogan's band, his Good Buddies, features notable Seattle musicians, including producer Barrett Jones (Nirvana,The Foo Fighters, Brad), Ben Baier, Kory Christian, Jeremy Reinhold, Libby Molamphy, Diana Shomstein, Jason Thane,Michael Trew and Naomi Adele Smith. Sing a Little Song also features a special guest performance by Rachel Flotard (Visqueen) on the song, How to Fly.
Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies live show can be described as a celebration of creativity and inclusiveness. Musically, they're influenced by indie rock, world music, R&B, country, jazz, rock, 80's pop, classical and just about anything else they can find to listen to. By incorporating many styles into the music, Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies achieve a musical diversity designed to reach the broadest audience possible.
